Pigment Red 2

Pigment Red 2 is a neutral red pigment. Its shade is little yellower than PR112, but its light fastness is 0.5-1 grade lower. It has larger particle size, and lower transparency; Its main application is in packaging and offset inks, dyeing and textile printing. Pigment red is not so often used in the coloring of paint.

What is PIGMENT RED?

Pigment Red is a synthetic or man-made pigment used to produce a range of red colors. It can be found in a variety of paint and plastic products as well as inks and dyes. It is created by combining various organic and inorganic compounds and is often used as a substitute for traditional organic pigments.

What are the common applications of PIGMENT RED?

Hengyi Tek Pigment Red is a popular form of colorant used in a variety of applications. It is a non-metallic, inorganic, and organic substance that contributes to the color of many everyday items. It has an extensive list of uses in printing inks, paints, coatings, plastics, rubber, and paper products. As a result, Pigment Red can be found in a wide range of industries.

In the printing industry, Pigment Red is often used to create vibrant prints on different materials. It is also used in the hazardous ink-jet printing process. The color is usually a bright red, which provides a striking contrast to the background material. Pigment Red is also often blended with other colorants to produce a unique color.

Pigment Red can also be used to produce a variety of hues and tones in paints and coatings. These products are typically used for interior and exterior applications such as wood, metal, masonry, and even automobiles. Pigment Red can also produce a variety of intense shades when used in combination with other colorants.

In the plastics and rubber industry, Pigment Red is often used to create strong coloration. It also serves as a UV protectant, helping to reduce fading and discoloration caused by exposure to the sun’s rays. As a result, items such as outdoor furniture and playground equipment are commonly produced with Pigment Red-infused plastics and rubber.

Paper products can also benefit from the use of Pigment Red. It can be used to create colorful packages, decorations, backgrounds, and more. This colorant can also be converted into a paste for use in traditional painting and drawing techniques.

What is the coloring performance of PIGMENT RED?

Pigment Red is an important element that goes into creating a variety of colors in paints, inks, and dyes. This versatile colorant is primarily composed of iron oxide, which adds natural red-orange tones to any number of materials. Depending upon the type of material being used, Pigment Red can provide the desired hue with minimal effort.

When used in oil paints, Pigment Red can offer powerful, vibrant color that stands out with clarity and rich tones. Once applied, the pigment can provide an opaque finish with even coverage, particularly if mixed with the correct amount of other colors. Due to its strong coloring powers, Pigment Red can easily overpower other colors in a mixture, making mixing a consistent hue slightly more difficult for artists and painters.

Inks that feature Pigment Red also benefit from its opacity, which makes it ideal for creating consistent lines and coverage for printed materials. In comparison to other colorants such as phthalocyanine, Pigment Red can offer superior color quality and staying power. Moreover, it can stand up to fading, oxidation, and weathering better than other types of ink colorants.

Pigment Red is also often added to fabric dyes. Its deep, vibrant colors can add an eye-catching effect to a variety of fabrics, whether used in clothing, quilts, or any other type of material. Due to its opacity, it does not easily fade or wash out, maintaining its color strength in regular wear and tear. Its durability also makes it a great choice for outdoor materials, where its colors can hold up against the elements.
